It is an ICT company established in 2001 in Valencia. Funded by a team experienced in world-class software development, Antara generated software platforms in different business areas: B2B software integration resources, virtual product design and marketing, and multimodal distribution of information. Antara works in different technologies (XML for e-business, product data technology, WebServices for e-business interoperability, mobile services,…).

Antara is active in different industrial sectors like building & construction, furniture, or fashion (footwear and clothing), as well as in public and non profit organisations (Universities, chambers of commerce, industry federations, and others). The company signed long-term strategic agreements with private non profit industrial associations in different sectors representing thousands of SMEs (e.g. building & construction, furniture, …).

The company does not develop software products only, but it is also well recognised as technology consulting, especially in product data technology and interoperability, and performs advisory tasks in the future of this technology for the Ministry in Spain responsible for building & construction sector. Personnel of Antara leaded world-wide standardisation initiatives in ISO (TC184) and European ones in CEN/isss. Antara is currently co-co-ordinating the FP6 Policy Research project “SEEMseed”, the final aim of which is to define European Commission policies aimed at creating a single electronic space in the Union (SEEM).
